How long have you been on DeviantArt? I have now been on dA for 5 years .
What does your username mean? It was originally just a few random words strung together (broken up into The Ms Goth Girl), so it never really meant much, but it's a random little username I've grown really attached to, so now I use it on video game score boards and such. I like to think that there might be someone who sees the username on a different website and recognises me by it :3.
Describe yourself in three words. Kooky. Creative. Sensitive (verging on overly-emotional ^^").
Are you left or right handed? Right.
What is your favourite type of art to create? Well, probably traditional art, with pencils and pens, as that is my most
practised art-form, but I'm also a huge sucker for photography. Nothing quite beats the feeling of being in the right place at the right time to capture a great shot. I'd love to upload more photography to this site in the future.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? Digital art. It generally looks a whole lot tidier than traditional art, and I wouldn't have to keep forking out for new pencils and colours and stuff TT-TT.
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? Um, probably fan-art, just because if it's from a fandom I'm passionate about then it will immediately grab my attention. Other than that, just anything that makes me look twice and really think about what I'm looking at.
Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist? Ooooh, probably They're a very good friend of mine, so I'm probably biased, but this person is an incredible artist, who keeps on doing what they love even though they don't get the recognition they deserve. They've pushed and pushed through the years to improve and adapt their art style to something that suits them, and they inspire me to keep trying harder to do the same
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? I'm gonna go with Their artwork is INSANELY good, and from the first time I found one of their deviations I've been completely in love with the way they mix a dark, creepy look with a humorous feel. I just love their work, and it would be amazing to watch them in action
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? Well, this is a bit of a deep one. I've struggled with some really tough things this year, and to try and relieve myself a little I turned to some pretty negative coping strategies. Then, one day, I found this piece of artwork: by This piece really spoke to me, and it led me to do a little more research into the Butterfly Project, which led me to the Recover Your Life website: www.recoveryourlife.com/index.… Without the help of this website, I'm pretty sure that I'd still be using the same coping mechanisms right now, and I am eternally grateful to the artist I mentioned above for leading me to take those first few baby steps.
What are your preferred tools to create art? A mechanical pencil, a 0.1mm fineliner, and my Crayolas :')
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? Generally wherever I can sit on the floor. I like to be able to just spread my tools and resources out around me and have the space to just drop things and pick them up when I need them.
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? The day that I found out my Baby Jack Skellington picture has over 2,000 views and over 1,000 downloads. Coming from someone who only has 3,000 page views and 25 watchers, this is a figure that I just can't get my head around. To everyone who took the time to check out this piece, or even download it, well, thanks!
