I'm Still Here! :'D

Okay, I have a cup of milky coffee and a bag of Revels, and I'm FINALLY ready to write an update!

Major apologies for yet another absence, I'm going to try my best not to be so completely non-existent for such periods of time in the future. I've recently started back for my second year at university, so obviously I can't spend as much time on my artwork as I did over the summer. I'm still completing requests, for those of you who requested me, and these will be uploaded as soon as they are completed. Thank you all so much for your patience thus far, and please continue to be patient for just a little longer, obviously my priority right now is my course work. I'm still trying to find a little balance between my coursework and my artwork though, because I am already a lot more stressed with my course than I should be this early into the term, and drawing is a nice way of relieving that stress ^^"

So, yeah, hopefully I will still be uploading pictures for all you lovely people. I will also try to write a few more journals, in case anyone out there actually reads these things! XD Oh, and I've also been keeping a personal journal, or diary, or whatever, recently. I've tried this many times in the past as a safe place to vent my thoughts and feelings, but I always get bored, or forget to write in it, or just lose interest. However, this time around I am putting a lot more thought into the layout of my entries, rather than just writing blocks of text for pages. I've been doing some smaller doodles, and a few full-page ink illustrations that, typically, seem to have turned out better than the sketches I spend days working on XD So I might, possibly, upload a few examples of this (with the text blurred out of course ) just to prove that I am still doing SOMETHING vaguely artistic with my time. :3

As well as requests, I'm going to be spending some more time doing pictures that I actually want to do, just for myself. I'll still be putting them on here, but I just mean they'll be pictures of my own invention rather than requests. I love drawing for other people, but I frequently lose the motivation or inspiration I need to keep the work at a standard I feel happy with, so I'm going to be doing my own stuff as well just to try and keep that level of motivation a little higher. I've been putting a LOT more thought and development into my two newest OCs, Aleksei and Nadia. They actually have an entire backstory in my head now, as opposed to just being two people in a drawing, so I'm hoping to do a lot more stuff to do with them. Don't be alarmed if they seem to be completely different people each time, I'm still working out a few of the finer details. But hopefully they'll still be recognisable as those characters.
